Our Environment Can Make Us Sick - Part Two
(The contents of this newsletter is taken from notes Dr. Lendon
Smith has taken from his readings in the field of alternative health.)
*Why Is A Person Environmentally Sensitive?*
If a person is environmentally sensitive, it means he is nutrient
deficient in both vitamins and minerals.
*What Minerals Are Deficient?*
When one is sensitive to chemicals the following minerals are
either deficient or excessive : calcium, potassium, magnesium,
and manganese. Some minerals may be up and some down. Calcium
may be up and magnesium down. Aluminum is high in many of those
who are environmentally sensitive.
*What Vitamin Deficiencies do the Environmentally Sensitive Experience?*
A recent survey, of those who were environmentally sensitive
showed the following deficiencies in vitamins.
60% are B6 deficient.
20% are deficient in A
Vitamin A deficiency is caused by organophosphate pesticide
exposure, PCB, and Nitrates. (A shot of A (50,000 Units) might
help some people who are deficient in beta carotene because of the pesticides.)
Vitamin C is reduced by benzene, sulfates, carbon monoxide,
nitrates, pesticides, ethanol, cigarette smoke, and heavy metals.
Vitamin D. Some environmentally sensitive are deficient and
some have an excess.
Vitamin E is reduced when a person is exposed to free radicals.
What Can An Environmentally Sensitive Person Do?
Environmentally sensitive people need nutrient fuels for
oxidation, reduction, degradation, or conjugation. Obviously
these people need the vitamins and minerals they are deficient
in. In addition all sensitive people need oxygen and
alkalinization, Na HCO3. Most need sulfur conjugation: taurine,
methionine, and cysteine, and magnesium and B12. The ph that is
best for detoxification is 7.8 (slightly alkaline.
(Editor's note: Twenty years ago my husband, Ed, a chemcial
engineer working with plastics became ill as a result of exposure
to the plastic fumes. In those days vitamin C was just coming
on the market. He had to reduce all chemical exposure in our
home, in our foods, in our car, and in his work. Since then he
has rebuilt his body through the addition of vitamins and
minerals as the pioneers in the alternative health field have
learned which nutritional supplements would do that. Morinda's
Noni Juice is one of the all natural products Ed uses to detoxify his body.)

*Noni detoxifies the body.*
The fruit of the Morinda citrifolia plant is treasured throughout Polynesia for
its unique health benefits. Polynesian have used the fruit of the
Morinda citrifolia plant for thousands of years against many illnesses and
diseases. It is considered a strong blood purifier, and cleanses
the body of harmful bacteria.
