*What Can We Do About Toxins and Chemicals?*
by Lendon M. Smith, M.D. (Taken from Dr. Smith's writings.)

*Can We Ban Chemicals?*
It seems well-nigh impossible to ban all these chemicals and
heavy metals because OUR economy is built on their continued use.
The companies who manufacture these toxins make large profits, so
they are not about to just give up without a struggle.

*If We Did Ban Chemicals Would That Be Enough?*
The premise we are using is that we should have clean water, air
and food, and that if we get sick something is wrong with our
lifestyle. However, it is not enough to just stay away from fats
that become rancid, sugar without accompanying vitamins and
minerals, and foods that have been grown on depleted soils.

*When Do We Take Responsibility For Our Health?*
If you have just one cavity in your teeth, you are a flawed
person. If you have an allergy to some food or flower, it
suggests your adrenal glands are weak and you are susceptible to
other diseases and more serious degenerative conditions. If you
get sick is something wrong with your immune system?

*How Do We Take Responsibility For Our Health?*
All these things should be a motivation to do something about
your lifestyle, your exercise program, and your diet. The
government and the FDA have known about these connections but
apparently they are powerless to act. The ball is in your court.
But what are you supposed to do?

*Aren't We Already Improving Our Environment?*
Sure, we might be getting cleaner food and water. Most of us do
not live ten per room. Some people are even giving up destructive
habits like smoking and drinking.

*But Why Isn't It Enough?*
If we were all healthy enough would there be a health oriented
magazine like Let's Live? There are several reasons.
* We medical doctors are guided by the paradigm: Make a
diagnosis and treat with a drug.
* In addition there seems to be a big gap between proven
nutrition facts and the public's ability to abide by them.
* Add to that the fact that the enthusiastic media seems happy to
bring the public information about the latest drug, but never seems to put
any emphasis: on Naturopathic, Chiropractic, or
Homeopathic methods of controlling disease.

Editor's Note: Again it is up to us, isn't it, to become
educated so we can take the actions that are appropriate for us.

Unless we move to Tahiti it is impossible for us to avoid all
toxins and chemicals. (Did I hear you say, 'That's a good idea.
Let's move there. If you go I'll carry your bags for you.' Me too!)

But even if we did go to Tahiti, the toxins are already in our
bodies. Yes, our bodies are like little garbage cells.(Did I hear
you say, 'Ugh'. Gruesome thought, huh?) Hard to realize the
toxins are from all those pizza's, hot dogs, burgers, and
greasy french fries - don't you just love them?) Therefore one
thing we must do is to take responsibility for getting the toxins
out of our bodies. (Yes, my friend, there is no free lunch.
Shucks!) But how can we detoxify? And can we make it painless?

Your sponsors find
Noni juice both effective
and painless in detoxifying the body. It is obvious we must
first flush toxins out of our cells to make room for good
nutrition to get into the cells. As you know the organs of
detoxification are the liver, kidneys, lungs, colon and the
skin: the skin being the largest area of detoxification and the
back-up. Most dermatology rashes are caused by the orgams being
overwhelmed so the toxins come out the skin. As an example, the
first week I took Noni I developed a mild rash under my eye. When
the rash disappeared I knew that my regular organs of
detoxification were now handling the load and that now the
excellent nutrition of Noni was entering into the cells and rebuilding them.

As I recently told you - after taking Noni for a year my skin
cancer specialist told me my skin looked just great.
