Remember as you read Dr. Smith's recommendations that they are 'his' based on his experience, knowledge and training.  You may not agree and that is okay because your opinion is based on your training, experience and knowledge. We are each responsible for our own bodies and what we decide to put into them.

***   Dr. Lendon Smith's Recommendations   ***
(Taken from the notes of  Dr. Lendon Smith, M.D..)

For twenty-five years I have been working on a new --- for me-— paradigm of treatment and especially prevention. We have to dump a lot of the things we have thought were making us healthy. We have to go back to square one.

***  When Do We Start A Good Nutritional Program?  ***
As soon as a girl has her first menstrual period, which means she has the hormones and the equipment, she is to be put on a program of nutrition, because, apparently, many girls do not know when they might get pregnant. The male of this liaison must be on a good diet with extra zinc and C also. If that baby is not healthy, you and 1 will have to take care of it.

***  What Should She Eat? ***
Basically more than fifty percent of her diet must be raw foods; Chicken and fish should be the main protein sources, although if she has some help, she can be a vegetarian and eat legumes and whole grains; If she has ever had ear infections or constipation, she should drink milk infrequently.  She can have some junk food once a year on her birthday.

***  What Supplements Should She Take?  ***
*  Calcium from other sources may be adequate; 1,000 mg daily is right
*  Magnesium, 500 mg daily;
*  Some omega-3 and omega 6 oils are important;
*  Vitamin C, 500 to 1,000 mg daily,
*  Vitamin E, 400 Units daily,
*  Vitanin D, 400 Units daily,
*  Vitamin A, 5,000 Units daily,
*  B vitamins: 50 mg of each,
*  Folic acid, 0.4 daily,
*  B12, 1 mg.
*  Plus a multi mineral pill Since Morinda's Tahitian Noni Juice (TM) has become available I have also started recommending that people  add Noni (TM) to their nutritional program.
