You will want to forward this issue to those with asthma. The questions that Dr. Smith uses for detecting what causes the asthmatic attacks are similar to the ones I used to find out what was causing my hypoglycemia. There is a good chance it will help you in identifying what is causing your health problem too. When you know the cause your problem is half solved.

Who might you forward this issue to who would like to learn how to diagnose a health problem?

*** How Does Dr. Smith Treat Asthma and What Kinds of Improvements Does He Expect? *** (Taken from Dr. Lendon Smith's notes and writings.)

* What Is Dr. Smith is Treatment? *

*There are different modalities Dr. Smith uses to treat asthma. Besides introducing a vegan diet for asthmatics Dr. Smith would also devise a program that provides for detecting foods that cause asthmatic attacks, avoiding sulfites from salad bars, taking herbs or minerals that lessen the attacks, and using techniques such as visualization or crying to reduce emotional stress that brings on attacks.

* What kinds of results does Dr. Lendon Smith expect from using these forms of treatment? *

*The fact is that normally in 90%, 10% might get a little worse as treatment starts; however, most people will improve, and have less severe attacks, less frequently. They may begin to notice that something starts bringing an attack on. when it happens as a course they can start seeing and even specifically modify what they are doing That how we get to back track to what is causing these fewer persistent attacks.

*** What Tests does Dr. Smith recommend? *** *Well, every time you eat at the salad bar or eat dried fruit you have to be a detective. You can be tested for this, but this is not the first test I'd do. *Allergy testing from the Elise Act Test [????j is what I might consider. *History o You need to ask the following questions. What's the diet of the asthmatic? When do these attacks happen? How severe are the attacks? What does the asthmatic eat? What nutritional supplements does the person with asthma take? Do other members of the family have asthma? A good history and understanding of who that person is, how they live, their life, and parental influence all help one to gain insight into what is causing these attacks.

(In next week is issue we shall share in some depth the different modalities Dr. Lendon Smith uses.)
