Are you smelling the roses today? Have you realized an extended meaning of that would have you find something that benefits you in every issue of this newsletter Yes, that means even if the issue is on asthma and you don't have asthma still if you read between the lines you will get ideas of things to do that will help your own health problems. For example, check out the comments on visualization, crying and detoxification. I'll eat my hat if you don't find at least three thoughts that benefit you. No, don't email me to 'eat my hat' - just look further for those ideas.

*** How Does Dr. Smith Treat Asthma? (Part Two) ***
(Taken from Dr. Lendon Smith's notes and writings.)* There is a relationship between Tryptophan and asthma *
Kids with asthma often show a deficit in their tryptophan metabolism. Foods that contain tryptopham include Turkey! Lettuce and there are 7 or 8 others . Tryptophan is not an uncommon amino acid in foods. The tryptophan that is converted to serotonin is a broncho-constricting agent.
What we do is put them on (as studies have shown us) a tryptophan restricted diet or a B6 supplemented diet. These can help correct that in-born error of metabolism. They end up correcting that blocked pathway.
* Is there anything that we can do otherwise? *
We can add crutches.. as long as the downside is not greater than the benefit. Even natural medicine has to be supportive of suppressive medicine. If we need to use it for a benefit to get us through an area then let's do it. We can also do visualization or we can do crying.
*If crying is the easiest thing, do it. I ask them to think of the saddest thing that they can think of. If they go into tears you can often break the event.
*Or we can get them to relax with the visualization with heat -- This gets rid of attention -- like a pebble in the water -- going out - that reverberation works if it's tension with a memory that's either good or bad...
*Does visualization work?*
It has to be an adult, not a kid. What I've seen work... imagine yourself on a beach, on an island, tropical water, relaxed... life is great... that process - when they can feel the heat and can relax - that often breaks the acute attack.

*** Noni Juice Detoxifies? ***
I want to share with you a letter my husband, Ed, wrote explaining the value of Noni Juice in detoxifying the body.
Hi
Some 22 years ago I was exposed to prolonged and severe ammonium fumes. This was after some 30 years exposure to other chemical fumes, particularly those of the plastics industry.
As a result I became a certified nutritional consultant with the International Health Institute where I learned many natural techniques to heal myself. The techniques included fasting, rotary diet, orthomolecular quantities of vitamins and minerals, chelation, and deep breathing. Also internal cleansing, including colonics, coffee enemas and liver and gall bladder flushes.
These were the only techniques available to me back in those days but they were very expensive from a time, energy, and money standpoint. While these techniques do work they are just not practical in today's rushed society.
Fortunately in the last two years we have come across a natural fruit juice called Noni juice. This juice when taken on an empty stomach first cleanses the body of all toxicity. This product will cleanse your body of all toxins including prescription drugs, over the counter medications, and the chemicals in your food, water, and environment. We know of a gal taking radiation treatments whose Cancer specialist told her it would help her body to detoxify the chemo. She said she could smell the chemo coming out her pores.
Noni Juice comes in a 32 ox. glass bottle. :You take one or more ounces per day on an empty stomach. Purchased in a case of 4 bottles it sells for only $30 plus $2.20 shipping per bottle.
Thanks for allowing us to share with you how what has worked for us may also work for you.
