*** How Common Is Diabetes? (Part One) ***: Taken from Dr. Lendon M. Smith's notes of report by Jack Challem, June 7, 1997: New Hope for Diabetics (The Nutrition Reporter, Jack Challem, 6782 SW 167 Pl., Beaverton OR, 97007)

12 million Americans have diabetes. 5,000 will become blind; 30,000 will have their feet amputated this year. Some will need kidney dialysis, and more will succumb to premature heart disease. More than 150,000 will die this year of complications.

It is the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S. Fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals can improve the body to deal with excessive blood sugar, lower insulin requirements and combat the complications. The body either does not make enough insulin or it fails to use it. Insulin is used to put sugar into the cells where it is used for energy.

Type I is juvenile or insulin dependent. It usually hits those under 25 years. These people produce little or no insulin. The insulin secreting cells (beta cells) have lost their ability to produce insulin either because of a virus or an autoimmune reaction. Cow milk fed babies are more at risk for this type of diabetes compared to breastfed babies.

Type II is the adult-onset type and affects those over 40 years. It accounts for 90% of diabetics. 85% are overweight. A lifetime of poor eating habits have made the pancreas produce too much insulin, not too little. After years of high insulin levels, the cells of Type II diabetics become insulin resistant, or over-worked.

The earlier one gets the disease, the shorter the life span. Some juvenile diabetes may last beyond age 30 and occasionally reach age 50. Type II may live full lives if they begin eating carefully, exercising, and losing weight. Cholesterol elevation and platelet adhesiveness is a problem and leads to heart disease, deterioration of blood vessels in the eyes and damage to the nervous system, leading to numbness in the lower legs and feet and even gangrene.

** Noni Juice Also Helps Diabetics **

The following is an email we received from a subscriber.

I am a subscriber to AAA Alternative Health Tips ezine. I really enjoy getting and reading it. I try to print out all of them if I can and put them in my home for guests reading material. I want your readers to know what Noni Juice has done for me.

Ethel Marie Tricomi

-------------------------

Dear friends:

How many times have you said "I wish I felt better." How many times have you gone to your Dr. and left there with a handful of prescriptions that you could not afford? You know, the ones that are in your cupboard now because they didn't help anyway. I know this has happened to me since 1969 when I injured my back. I have lived with the pain and depression that comes with it for many years. I have since been diagnosed with arthritis, had three heart attacks, have a sleeping disorder. You name it-- if it could happen it happened to me.

I am a diabetic, now I am in the battle against cholesterol. Until I was introduced to Noni Juice I felt life as I had to live it was not worth it. Everyday was a struggle just to get through, with the sleeping disorder I was to tired to cope. My pain was almost unbearable!

My Sister tried to talk to me about Noni and frankly I was not interested because I felt I had tried everything and nothing was going to make a difference in my condition any way. Finally she brought me a bottle of this juice and said "if you love me you will take this every day." I thought, "I have nothing to lose and to get her to leave me alone I would try it." I was feeling too bad to argue anymore. Besides what could it hurt? It was a natural product with no additives so could not interfere with any of my medications I was on.

After three days I noticed a difference in my sleeping, I was sleeping without waking up all hours of the night. My energy was building everyday. I noticed I was doing more than I had in many years, house work, crafts, going shopping, staying up later because I was not so tired. I have been on the Noni juice for about two months now and I feel like I have a whole new lease on life. I have not taken a "pill" in over a month for anything. I feel human again for the first time in thirty years. I am sleeping through the night, my sugar is down to normal, I am pain free, I feel like a new person. I am doing all the things I used to dream of doing. I could not be more thankful than I am for a Sister that loved me enough to bring me that first bottle of "Noni." I feel God has answered my prayers and I will forever be grateful.

Please, think of someone that is waiting for something that will be of help to them, maybe you, to introduce them to the Noni juice, what I call a "Miracle." I would not think of starting my day without it!

Sincerely, Ethel Marie Tricomi

* Selling Noni Juice Is A Gratifying Way to Make Money *

Here are more comments from Kelly Olsen the CEO in charge of Sales.

We have a dream for our business. A dream that I am sure will be fulfilled. Our dream is that some day soon; Noni juice is the best known brand in all of natural health products. A brand that is known way beyond the realms of traditional Network Marketing. A brand that has great value and equity. With the fulfillment of this dream, our business will achieve volume that is thought to be impossible today.

Fewer than 1/50th of 1% ever get as big as this company is today. In spite of the banter in the market place, what Morinda has accomplished is not common. Problem is, this company did it seemingly with such ease, it seems like anyone can do what we have done. Don't believe it.

Can you see why we are so grateful for this company and are in such awe at what is happening? We've hit the mother lode here folks, and if you aren't convinced yet, I promise you will be, by and by.

Kelly Olsen
