*** What Can You Do To Stall Off Arthritis? ***
(Taken from the notes of Dr. Lendon Smith, M.D.)The following have been shown to help the arthritic condition.
* Eat some cold-water fish like salmon every few days. * Selenium, zinc, manganese, pantothenic acid, niacinamide, methionine, and curcumin have been helpful in stalling off arthritis. * Elimination of allergic foods has been helpful in Rheumatoid Arthritis. * Short periods of fasting can lead to temporary improvement in RA. Michael Murray, N.D., says fasting may work by decreasing the absorption of allergenic food components, and would have an effect on the immune system. * Many Rheumatoid Arthritis victims are deficient in HCl. Supplementation of HCl aids in protein digestion. * There is a high frequency of Candida in the saliva of Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. (From Nutri Notes Lynn Tooley, Ph.D., 1949 New Castle court, Fort Collins, CO 80526.)
Is arthritis in your family? If so the above named substances should be taken as preventative measures.
** What If You Already Have Arthritis? **
* Vitamin C at the 2,000 to 5,000 mg level, along with pantothenic acid (1,000 mg) should help in a preventative way. * Colostrum is an immune enhancer. * Methyl-sulfonylmethane (MSM) is a nutrient form of sulfur and necessary for the integrity of muscles, joints, hair, nails - the tissues that hold us together. * Avoiding the more common allergenic and the solanaceous (nightshade family: tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers) foods at the first suggestion of sore joints --- at least for three months is worth trying. * Dr. Smith also recommends Noni juice as a way to improve the digestion of proteins.
Dr. Smith advises you to be sure to take action before arthritis becomes a full-blown disease.
